This is what my nonna (Italian for grandma) would make. I make it every Rosh Hashanna since she made a promise to fast two days Rosh Hashanna should she and her unborn baby survive a very difficult and dangerous trip across Libya to take her son to a Dr. She delivered the baby when she arrived and my uncle, survived BH! So i male mafrum in her memory every RH to remind me of her and her husband was nifter Rosh Hashanna as well. This dish creates such deep memories for me ❤️thank you Jamie.
