  1. only way I ever gained weight – #1 stop smoking weed 🙁 #2 I literally had to force feed, all day. However, I was working out way too much, in addition to having a physically demanding job. This go-round, I'm just going to eat more, drink more water and… smoke LESS weed lol

  2. Ive always had a bad appetite ever since i was a kid! I was put on ADHD meds in elementary school and ever since my appetite is terrible! Im 37 years old now. I weigh 180lbs at the moment I'm 5'7 goal is 210 atm already more than halfway to my goal. And i eat peanut butter out of the jar daily! 7g protein each serving/ tablespoon

  3. My weight has been one of my biggest insecurities ever since I was a child. Being 6"5 doesn't help at all. I hate how much I can't get to add weight no matter how hard I try. Maybe I was meant to be skinny. (I hope no one who knows me sees this comment)

  5. Good. This is good practical advice. I've looked all over the place for some straight advice, many web sites, fitness sites, strongest man sites, even a nutritionist I call "The Pill Lady" (vitamins), and I mention my desire to gain muscle mass to every nurse and doctor I meet with. I've often been told "eat 3,000 to 3,500 calories a day". (It would kill me. I weigh under 150lbs.. Have you ever seen a fat cross-country runner?) Protein shakes, smoothies, gym every two days. Three trainers. Basically, I have been told to do what is practically impossible for me. And I have gained maybe 3 pounds in TWO YEARS. Here, on this site, I get some advice I can actually DO! That I hope helps me get to 150lb+..

    I guess it is hard for a fitness-oriented guy who would go into clinical withdrawal if you barred him from the gym for more than a day, to communicate to "the layman". Here, I think I've found someone who can do that. E.g. there's a good site with a workout program that I'm sure is excellent – if you happen to be a 35 year old former NFL wide receiver! And there's a great review of what Eddie Hall eats every day! Live! And there's Katina Eats Kilos! And there's a chick who's an aerobics nut – probably has figured out a way to do aerobics not just in the shower and bath and office and grocery store, but in her sleep, too! She probably has two closets, each one full of Nike only! Lots of rock-climbing sites – one finger pull-ups and stuff! Kodiak bears downing five to ten salmon at one sitting! Without burping! Many food sites on how to lose weight, prepare 5-Star sauces at home with only 2 calories! None of that applies to me. And I have great vitamins, but they aren't adding any pounds. Here, I find what I can do with some degree of comfort and adaptability. Frickin everyone is bigger than me! It's embarrassing to go to the gym and reset every machine, e.g. from 240lbs. to 50lbs..I don't have to wipe off the 8lb. dumbbells because nobody else ever uses them – small consolation, but something.

  6. 100 calorie suprlus is too little becasue there is too much uncertainty in how many maintenance claorie is day to day depending on how much you move. 100 calories is less than that uncertainty. You must at least have 300-500 surplus to ensure you are on a surplus, otherwise u might accidenlty not be because you moved slightly more than normal and the maintenance went up by 150

  7. Just needed to put this here, be careful WHEN you have a calorie shake. Stuff like oaks expand when digested, so having a shake with high amount of oats then eating a full mean, can cause your body to eject this food from the fast build up. Learned this the hard way and I do not recommend

  9. Raw eggs and fruit digest the fastest. Carbs are the key for the skinny guys to build muscles we’ve all just been brainwashed by “eat your protein” . Carbs have protein in them too. More Salt, Potassium and creatine.
