@madeofafrica

Thank You sooo much for this video! I was in Ghana the week of Independence day 2022 and I instantly fell in love & truly felt safe, at peace and at home. It took only this one trip for me to decide that I want to make Ghana my home in the near future. My plan is to leave Detroit (where I was born and still reside) and move to Ghana by or shortly after my 40th birthday in 2027. Looking at different videos here in YouTube about the hardships and headaches of the process (i.e all the run arounds l, and having to have two Ghanaian’s to vouch for you, when I only know one person there)has discouraged me very much from wanting to move. But I would like to ask you when applying for the work permit do you apply and land work before applying for the work/
Residence visa ‘s first or do you apply for the visas then look for work? Starting a business isn’t really something that’s my expertise, so that won’t work for me (just being honest) and the fee’s I’ve seen sure add up to be a lot. I seriously and sincerely want to return home and live in Ghana and one day become a Ghanaian in real life (as i am in heart and spirit.) Also how much would you say is enough to have saved up when moving to Ghana? My friend and I said that if and when i moved we’d split the cost if rent and all the other bills. Thank You in advance for your advice.

Which city/town/village in Ghana did you set up your residence? I was thinking about moving to Tema, Cape Coast, Sunyani or Kumasi. What do you think of those choses?

@kofiaseda3799

You are very smart and insightful, you had a reason to leave and was ready to embrace yourself for the change. These coupled with how intelligent you are have made your stay n experience the best. I hope people learn from your journey before they decide to move.
