  1. Hi Chris and Carol, I just discovered your YouTube channel. I think this trip to Egypt must have really been something special. Everything you shot and described was very impressive! I really appreciate that you always include historical facts about the places you visit in your content. Thanks for sharing, cheers from Canada. ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

  2. Horus actually wasnt a person, but a deity, that Egyptians were worshiping. In Egyptian mythology, there was a god Usir (Osiris), that was a king of the Egypt (at least in some myths). Usir was killed by his greedy brother โ€“ Seth, because Seth wanted to rule over Egypt. After Seth killed Usir he cut his body into 14 pieces and flung them over whole Egypt (known world at this time). Usir wife Eset (Isis), found all 14 pieces and with magic (goddes of magic) she resurected Usir as god of the dead. After he was resurected she had a children with him โ€“ Horus. Horus was personification of cunning and when he grow up, he started war with Seth. During their fight Seth was a lot stronger, but Horus won thanks of his cunning. After that, he was crowned as new king of Egypt. In Egyptian mythology every colour and every animal means something. Falcon is a animal that is strong and fast, which are perfect elements for almost every pharaoh or king. Horus and Seth were very important deities in Egyptian mythology. Horus was symbolizing lower Egypt (more fertile land) and Seth symbolizing upper Egypt (crown of egypt have 2 parts, which symbolizes upper and lower Egypt). Together they were two deites, that were crowning new pharaoh. Also both of those gods were protectin Ra, during his journey on barque across the sky (day/night). Egyptians were building many temples with those gods (mostly with Horus, they were afraid of Seth) and you visited one of the most preserved. It is really beautiful temple and i wish i will visit it one day ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. I really love your videos. I have a question. Being that you don't suggest women to go on their own, and only take day tours, do you favor Aswan? I do not care if or if not I see the pyramids, however my friend does. Also, we are 2 women, and I saw your suggestion about women and how the men feel free to glare.
Aswan? If we go as 2 women? I would be coming from Jordan, where I feel far safer as a solo and having a friend join me in Egypt.
