I'm not gonna pick out a favourite African dance cuz I would be a HYPOCRITE if I say that cuz I always smile when I see AFRICAN dance and by gods their moves are absolutely wholesome….
michael jackson's dancing couldnt even compare to the zaouli moves! amazing!
Please Go for ESAN cultural dance with acrobatic
You will be amazed and highly entertained!
Zaouli is the best, it is like watching James Brown on speed, did James Brown's ancestors originate from this part of Africa.
amazing dancing. The acrobatic dance moves reminded me of Capoeira moves.
Amazing!!!!!!! Wow so intense! Pure athleticism. Wonderful!!!!!!!!
Love and respect each dance represented here, HOWEVER… The order of this list is wrong Zaouli should top the list…
everything comes from Africa,,the future is Africa,,the "west" would be nothing without Africa xoxo
As someone with no spiritual connection to these traditions, I find this to be so cool and impressive. Like Kathakali and Kathak from India. I hope these traditions never die out and continue to remind future generations of our fun loving and simple roots before thermonuclear threat ever existed.
This ain't dancing, that's fitness at it's best .💚❤️
Zaouli frfr look like they're floating
Awesome….thank you…..
Un espectáculo 👏👏🇨🇱
Zaouli is fascinating, I would love to see it in person.
Our beautiful beautiful continent. 🎉❤
it's insane
Wow! Amazing!
Funny, Zaouli dance was inspired by a girl, yet it isn't considered suitable for a lady…
Thanks for a very good video.
Your ranking is not good ant it ruint my day
flippy dance
My upstair neighbours, when I try to sleep 😊
2:25 – What does it mean "this is no fit for a lady". Is this a dance that is connected to male dancers? And because of that and the respect for this tradition that type of dance is not performed by female dancers, because of their respect towards that said traditional male dancer's dance? Or do you mean something else? I mean you can't mean the heavy footwork, can you? I mean in european ballet, women do crazy footwork and nobody says "no fit for a woman". So I don't think it's that what you meant, but rather the respect/tradition thing? I don't try to insult you, I just think your sentence was very vague and it's difficult to understand what you actually meant by that.
Anyways amazing video. It's fascinating how different, yet similarly interesting and creative those traditional dances are.
I always liked that youtube video "Traditional Congolese Dance" from Group Ballet Arumbaya Ndendeli in Kinsha from August 2013. Except of the first minute with the singing, it has a very hypnotic (kinda detroit techno like) feel to it. But the dancing towards that music was also captivating, imo.
impossible? come on
EDM DJs need to hire these dancers to show the crowd how to do it.
Riverdance could learn a thing or two from the Zaouli. Those are real Feet of Flames.
there are more modern ways to kill ants
I usually think of the fascinating music and dance styles. I'm particularly fond of the Gambian Kumpo. Both terrifying and mystical to experience.
So cool
5:05 Pack her for me!
❤❤❤
They are lost in USA.
Дегенеративная культура
After the abominations Hollywood present concerning the peoples of Africa we get to see the real heart that pulses in those folk. How are some of these moves possible?
they're all great!.. but who is the first video of? I'd love to see that whole dance
cannot get enough of this simply amazing
What caught my attention is the Zaouli but the Boloye dance with the acrobatics is also wonderful!
i am 15 years old and almost cried watching this video. i’m a bit sensitive when it comes to things i find so beautiful. i’ve always loved learning about other cultures, and the diversity of african traditions really stick out to me. i wish a lot more people (especially people my age) learned and appreciated the beauty of these culture, and just culture in africa in general (that includes north african as well :D). i think all the cultures represented in this video are beautiful, and even more as well. i wish i could go to africa to see these dances in person. i’d love to see a traditional dance from ghana, as it is believed that on my mom’s side our ancestors are from there (i’m half black). i love that these traditions have stayed alive for so long and i hope traditions like the ones in the videos can be preserved for many years to come. ❤️ 😊
I love all of these, but number 4 is my favorite. The talent is amazing. I only see the bottom parts of these dancers move while keeping their top part still. That is talent!!!
