[4K] Watch SpaceX Starship FLIGHT 4 launch and reenter LIVE!
[TIME SUBJECT TO CHANGE] This is the fourth fully integrated full stack test flight of Starship and the mighty Super Heavy booster, the largest and most powerful rocket to ever fly. It produces over twice as much thrust as the Saturn V that took humans to the moon.
The goal of the test is to get further along than IFT-3 in March, 2024. If all…

8:57:27 apparently this particular landing has about 0.5 cm (!) of target deviation according to Gerstenmaier, despite losing one engine
Some lame commenters are saying this was bad that the fin burned and clearly they are just fishing for comments or from Russia or China. The space shuttle had tiles fall off all the time, ever heard of the Challenger and Columbia disasters. SpaceX are in the testing phase without killing people. Sure Soyuz a pretty reliable rocket and yet has done nothing to advance space flight and still pack three people in the tiniest most uncomfortable analog capsule. Russia is not the future, China will pass them very shortly and even china is a decade behind SpaceX unless they steal their technology, which we all know they are always trying to do.

Rip Right Front Flap, you were a hero
09:47:00 flap is mad
I really wish the coverage on these launches was more professional like the Apollo launches were.
The cheering, & whistling from the audience coupled with the giggling from the announcers like it is a football match makes it seem like something far less than the amazing feat of professional engineering it is.

Wow it lifted zero pounds of payload to orbit. What an accomplishment.

if this rocket accidentally drops in china then we are fucked up
I get almost emotional watching this reentry. The sounds of the crowd, the rollercoaster of events, and at the very end, watching the hammered flap actuate with all the heart of both the hardware and the people behind it while the Space X employees cheering. What a moment in time through which I am proud to have lived.
It's mind blowing the length from the tip of the ship to the bottom of the flame tail is close to a quarter of a mile ЁЯдп
