  1. Move there and recognize, even amongst Blacks there, there is tribalism. Don't take it personally, you as an American are the lowest in the hierarchy. It won't be your skin color, it's your tribe.

  2. Kenyans don't see others as different. Kenyans are like exceptional is not being bothered by where someone originates and language accent.

  3. You know iam a Kenyan , you know in Kenya we speak English and Swahili, in Tanzania most of Tanzanian s speak Swahili ,in Kenya mzungu is a white person but in Tanzania our brother from America,he speaks English English so Tanzanian s thinks he is a mzungu because of his English, but in Kenya we know mzungu is white person African American is black like me , English is a language he has grown with in Kenya we have around 45 different languages , you imagine

  4. I’m Ghanaian but raised in America, they call me obruni (white/English speaking).

    It is what it is.

Can’t be over sensitive about that.

If you are pressed about it learn the local languages and try to speak accurately with no accent to go around this.

  5. African Americans need to learn what exactly people call someone who look like you mzungu. Mzungu sometimes does not mean white. Learn historical facts about mzungu. European were major employees of black people in colonial era, after independence, some Kenyans would derogatory call their employees mzungu even if they were Kenyans and black like themselves. African Americans sit down with locals and try to understand things that make you uncomfortable when you go to Africa. Learn and understand.

  6. Sometimes you have too much sentiment towards the African. But I wonder, how you choose to live in African Continent. In America, the African face similar problem in the hand of black American. Try not be to negative about Africa, don't let your story always one sided story

  7. I've lived in both Kenya and SA, Nairobi is not on par with Joburg, nor Capetown, nor Durban. We don't always have to compare dissimilar things.

The rest is kinda mostly true, as it pertains to Oshay points.

    Bless up!

  8. It's a shame that some of my fellow African Americans move all the way to the continent without knowing how Black folk act. A smooth faced no mustached Brother from Sacramento is getting charged "the strength" in Memphis, Chicago, Philadelphia or any other large African American populated area. As a Black person who traveled to other hoods throughout the states and went to an HBCU in college I expected the same… u are welcome but "we don't know you homie" treatment when I visited Nigeria and Kenya. The treatment is almost identical except on the continent some people actually show interest. In Philly don't nobody give a fk that I grew up in Memphis. If somebody take they Black a$$ all the way to Kenya and think they don't stand out they are fools… the not "treating u different MF you are different! But we all African/Black and they will show u a great time.

  9. The common narrative is that the African American/Carribean ancestors were r@p3d by their slave owners. Considering the nature of African women I have a hard time believing this is what actually happened but anything to soothe the black ego.

  10. I'm entertaining the idea of living in Africa more and more each year. I'm so over the US. There are actually some things I like about the US, but the problems are big, and I am completely done with the cast of racial order and insurance mafia, just completely done with it all. I was done 5 years ago!

  11. Bro I worked with a African American, but iam a Kenyan, I took him as my brother I lived with him and his wife in lavington all the Kenya s treated him like one of our own ,the only difference is an American accent

  12. What no one seems to mention is there are big Mzungus in Kenya and Ghana and they are making a lot of money off us, Mali and that area may be a better option. OR Nigeria….

  13. I like that your videos are not too long or too short. They're just right 👍! The drama never ends with people does it? Can't anybody just do the right thing? Problems arise because people want to take advantage of someone or make them feel like "the other". Honesty and respect would go a long way in every culture. I know I live in "the real world"🙄🙄. The ugliness just gets old.
