Your sessions are amazing. My boyfriend is from Ghana, and he thinks that it's a great idea for me to learn Twi. Ghana is a beautiful place and I would like to impress him, by being able to communicate with him in Twi instead of just in the English language.

@Princesslove-d6l

@yvonnebeckford2773

@Ophelia-q9j

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! I love the way you teach!! I am planning to visit Ghana in a few months!

@koraungates938

@choclateytown3069 Yes, I can understand what you mean. My pastor and his wife are from Ghana, but their daughter was born and raised in the USA. She has the ability to speak Twi, but her Ghanaian relatives tend to mock her because she speaks it with an American accent. So, their daughter is shy about speaking Twi, but she understands it very well! Plus, her parents have taken her to Ghana many times. I have been there once myself, and know a bunch of words and phrases. I am an African American who loves Africa and its people, languages, cultures, etc. Nyhira! 🙏🏾😊 🇬🇭 ❤💛💚🖤

I married a Debbie once….she use to say No all the time!!. 😄
Is Akan the same language that the African slaves would have talked, that were sold to the Portuguese 400 years ago? Do you think Akan should be taught to all the African Americans in North America, the West Indies and South America? Would it help them to connect to their roots.

@sergeerickoikou

Hey Yaw Ete Sen? Me ho ye. Medin Eric.Mefri cote d'ivoire 😂😂.
Actually I 'm from cote d'ivoire. I really enjoy your channel. I wish I could speak Twi fluently.
As matter of fact, there is somehow a bit similarity between Twi and my mother's tongue baoule.
Keep up the great work

My husband of nearly four years is Ghanaian, but his mother tongue is Ewe. I will never be able to learn Ewe in a thousand years. Thankfully, he also speaks Twi, among a few others. I had begun learning Twi thru the Pimsleur method, which was great, but they didn't recommend seeing it written so that we wouldn't keep our American accents while learning. They believe that babies learn by listening, but there are some sounds that are similar, and it's good to see someone's mouth AND the words so that you can say the correct sounds. I was saying Please as "May pao chow". Seeing it written helped me see where I went wrong. And what a great, calm teaching style you have! Liked and subscribed! ❤️

@samirahamatul688

Can't concentrate with the music.

@KeepLearning4Ever

Medaase! I plan to live in Accra next year and hope to learn enough to communication with locals. I enjoy listening to the clear way you teach.

@DonCornholio

I'm born and raised in Germany, with Bulgarian descent.
Although I have a huge interest and curiosity for Africa, especially central Africa and the countries close to, or directly located on the equator.
Fun fact: Even though Ghana and Germany are so far away from each other, geographically and culturally but they almost share the same timezone, with ghana being just 1 hour behind German time.

@sharonacquah5845

I love this! I'm a native Akan speaker- Fanti dialect. I learned the Ashanti Twi dialect later in life. You are an excellent teacher!!

@tbsweety

Going to beautiful Ghana next year! Been studying that Twi and its really helpful. Much love to you from Chicago! Medaase!!
