Looks cheap, especially the screen and the buttonless steering wheel system….
nice but doesn't in my opinion carry on the pedigree of the first Golf GTi. This is just a clone of every other car on the road. VW had an opportunity to make this car special – but it is hardly any different from any other golf. It basically looks boring.

That rediculous looking central screen would stop me buying this. I thought VW had more class. They usualy integrate the screen into the dash.

I wish VW would ditch the ID range altogether, and put their weight behind the Golf again. It might just see VW rise again, and see light at the end of the tunnel.
German car makers are going through a torrid time at the moment. Suddenly no one wants to buy their cars anymore.
VW's electric range of cars suck to put it bluntly, and aren't doing VW's image any good.
Also throw some weight behind the Polo too ….and the now almost extinct Passat. And when did VW stop making a Golf cabrio?? … bring that back too.
VW need to go back to what made them great in the first place. It's time they stopped messing about with ugly, plastic EV's that drive like a dustbin, and have zero personality.
Loving this Golf GTi. The ID3 is inferior in every respect.
The Golf largely made VW what it is today – it repeatedly set the standard for the small family car. Ford did not. But they (VW) are now trashing their own legacy by forcing the ID range on us. This is slowly destroying VW.
