I didn't know that Charles Kuralt did it in 1970 I was just a Baby ! And Walter Cronkite did it in 1979.
Yah this year I think that in the year 2017 where folks experienced full totality of the 🌙 . Only in several places.but, this year in the eastern coast. Will experience full or partial totality in most states. Of the totol & solor celestial eclipse🌙,/( from, Taejuan blizz

What are they JOKING. All that We saw was the biggest sky POLLUTION ever. on April 8th the sky was WHITE for 24 hours , weather was very hot, but the next day April 9th , it was all WINTER. ..Again. Ever heard about their Plans to Block the Sun ? it seems the tests are going just fine here.

Not great to think of an eclipse as a "party" or "wedding" time. Eclipses have traditionally meant wars, upheavals and destruction of empires. I guess nobody knows that the USA is on the brink of destruction. "All she wants to do is dance," a song that fits the bill here.
I was not expecting getting that emotional during the eclipse. I've seen the pictures and videos before and I always found those very beautiful of course. But nothing can describe the feeling while it is happening in front of you but I'll try.
You first look at the sun with light blocking glasses and you first see the moon blocking the sun. I said to myself… ok… this is really happening a bit in denial. And then you see it blocking slowly but surely. The temperature is starting to cool down even if the light is very bright. It made me realize how we are so dependent on the sun's energy for all life on earth. It made me appreciate how sun=life. The shadows have weird shapes. You look at the landscape and you know something is odd.
And then… totality his happening, the crowd is screaming in awe, we just can't contain ourselves, it is literally impossible to contain. You feel the hype, it is stronger than what you expected. It is sunset colors 360 all around you and you see what seems like a black hole in the sky. Truly the weirdest and most beautiful thing I ever saw. You can see the sun atmosphere surrounding the moon, it feels violent, chaotic and you can't believe you can see sun storms with your naked eye. It is frightening and amazing at the same time. You can see planets and star which feels like a glitch in the matrix in day time.
I felt like everybody wanted to share the joy with others. It removes the day to day problems. At that moment, hundreds of people are just cheering up what the universe can show us. It is a first timer for 99% of us so we are like a child discovering the world again looking confused and excited at the same time.
So it is all there, right in front of you, the sun, the moon, the planets, the stars, the animals reacting to us and the light, the insects and bird chants changing, all people around you, many from around the world to see this, different languages, different families, different loves. But all our differences doesn't matter for those 4 minutes we all share one love to us and the universe.
I felt connected to what our ancestors felt and I was grateful for them. I felt connected to the immensity of the universe and all its beauty.

the sky started turning dark that day And literally i saw changes in the sky from inside, so i went outside to take a few pictures AND IT WAS AWESOME!!! It felt like CHRIST was Risen
The lady commentator is completely clueless. Numerous errors in her statements, such as the sun is 400 times bigger than the earth. Wrong! They need to have professionals narrate such a celestial event.
Let me answer for the man at 24:21 and what he probably really wanted to say who was trying to enjoy the few moments of totality while Janet is interrupting the precious time that he has asking

Okay how many feel there is something else that eclipses the Sun? Like there’s a derelict Dyson sphere in this solar system of ours and like our moons Camelot or crystal castle cities this Dyson sphere is not usually easy to see because it’s a billion years out of operation lol but it still gyroscopes in and of itself and it’s got some circular features at prominence points that cause the eclipses whether total annular or partial… because why is the moon solid black, everything I learned in art school drawing ✍️ says a sphere will have varying degrees of shading even if the light source is straight on… plus in France in the 1600’s the Moon was visible during and separate from the event… like uhhh and plus there’s videos of that happening this time in 2024 and they chem trailed the skies to cover it up plus astrology die hard s sounded the alarm a month ago showing the moon would not be in alignment for eclipse it would be next to the sun in the sky as we’ve all seen before the sun and moon sharing the day time sky… so what is going on folks

im from the other side of the earth so i didnt get to see it. i was so confused because the moon was gone! then i read the news about the solar eclipse. i really want to see a solar eclipse. im in the philippines and i missed out on every solar eclipse because no one told me about it.

Some areas got the midnight sun but zero eclipse at all. As in, the sun made no contact with the moon in that section.

It was spectacular in Houlton, Maine. Not even a single cloud and a bright and sunny day. Too Many cars from many states and met a couple of astronomical enthusiasts from Texas who made it to Maine at the last minute. Was stuck in endless traffic later.
