Before an election, the 200 regional seats are divided between the regions based on the registered population in each province.

SABC News presenter Simphiwe Ncongwane takes a look at how parties have fared in different provinces.

  3. South Africa’s economy trends migrated to Western Cape and the Zulu kingdom is rearing its head with traditional Zulu parties dominating the province. Is it the question of history repeating itself!!! Indeed Limpopo voted for Limpopians Ramaphosa and Malema…. It’s about time we do away with this trends and GROW South Africa based on skills set,to govern and deliver as opposed to tribalism/ racism..

    During the divestment process, Shell said on Monday it would work to preserve SDSA's operating capabilities and maintain its brand presence.
    A Thebe spokesperson was not immediately available for comment.
    One of SDSA's main assets and South Africa's largest refinery, Sapref, in the east coast port city of Durban has not been operating since 2022 when Shell and its refinery joint venture partner, BP (BP.L), opens new tab, decided on a spending freeze and halt to the refinery's operations.
