2023 global displacement crisis: Record 76 million people forced from homes


A record number of people around the world were internally displaced last year.
Fighting in Gaza, Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo accounted for almost two-thirds of the 76 million people who had to flee their homes. Natural disasters also forced tens of millions to become displaced.

Al Jazeera’s Barbara Angopa reports.

  2. Kasmir people beaten the Pakistani military personnel and protest has been going on because of exploitation of the locals for personal gain of Punjab province. Why al Jazeera is silent. ??

  3. China support the Palestinians. China also occupies Tibet. Anyone chanting free Tibet in the streets? 1.2 million Tibetans have died as a result of the Chinese occupation.

  5. American occupation in Middle East is called Israel. After 2nd would war this power hungry country implemented dividend rule policy, in all the world. And sale there weapons. That is the reason of today's un stable world.

  6. They realised that their money was being misappropriated just like they realised that Hamas was stealing the money. 8 million displaced starving Sudanese people and all the world can focus on is Palestine.

  7. Ive been hearing about these circumstances in Africa and Middle East for decades and have contributed to relief. Why is it still happening. Where have donations from the west gone! Appeal after appeal on National Television before the internet, now I'm inundated with these appeals on social media. Where have the donations of millions of working and middle class contributors gone.
