  2. I recommend not buying the maxed out, overpriced storage from apple, external ssds are much more cheaper and faster and you can transfer or use it for multiple devices at the same time

  3. Samsung Galaxy Tablet. It's like an iPad but better, because you get a full-blown Firefox browser with the desktop extensions, and a full file explorer. Handwritten digital note taking, writing, and brainstorming has changed my life.

  4. For a controller and 8" screen spending 239€ might not be worth but getting the PlayStation Portal to play in bed after work or before sleep when I've been missing gaming for years even though not stylish have been quite worth it.

  5. Hey Brock, I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your content—it's super engaging and keeps me hooked every time! I did notice that the audio is a bit sibilant, and the excessive 's' sounds can be a bit distracting from the story. You might want to try using a de-esser to smooth that out. If you need any help with sorting out the audio for your videos, I'd be more than happy to assist! Keep up the great work!

  6. Your standing desk looks just like mine in a different color. I put off that purchase for way too long. I might have to talk the boss into getting me one for the office too.

  7. Its better to save up for the (anything) you want, than to buy the compromise choice. You most likely will end up with the one you originally wanted eventually and now you have a redundant thing and paid 150-170% more than if you just got the grail/endgame.

  8. My first pair of Super Feet insoles were purchased 20 years ago. And yes! I am still using them. They now look old and quite ugly. But, they work.

  9. I'm turing 30 this year so really feeling seen by this content.☺

    Heres my list:
    roomba
king size pod cover mattress for better sleep
    macbook air for leisure
windows ultrawide desktop computer for work
    airpods
    secret lab computer chair
    hydroflask
nice road bike and mountain bike

  10. I spent a bit more on a commuter backpack from Patagonia that ended up being a huge upgrade over the one I'd been using. I initially bought it because I needed a second bag on the way back from a trip to Portland (probably not the worst place to be shopping for a bag). It's been a gamechanger. I'm feeling like I should throw my old one out, but I'm struggling to part with it.

Also, I sprung for some Sony xm4 over ear headphones a couple years ago and they've been magical. Not top of the line or anything audiophiles would think too much of, but they're really comfortable and being able to stay connected to multiple devices is really nice. The carrying case doesn't hurt, either. They fold up nicely and the case provides a safe, snug, permanent place in that backpack I purchased.

  11. Those Roland e-drums are a great choice. Me and my son went through a number of electronic kits over a few years, starting with the cheapest Yamahas and moving up to the Rolands (I think a slightly different model but around the same level), trying SO many in between, and the difference between cheap ones and expensive ones is so, so huge, there are no diminishing returns involved.

I noticed the Korg SP-250 digital piano behind the drums too – I owned those forever and would always tell people that those are such a hidden gem as far as a cheap keyboard with really great action – obviously very subjective, but I tried so many keyboards before I bought mine (10+ years ago) and that keybed was by far my favourite. They "upgraded" that model to the 280 later, but put in a much worse keybed, perhaps regretting putting one in a budget piano that they also put in their high end models.

  12. I haven't made as many expensive purchases as Brock has, but I can attest to some of them.
I have an old pair of NB 998 made in the USA, and they are amazing. Mine are about 7 years old and I still wear them. They're miles better than their regular stuff.
I have a sranding desk myself, spent about $700-$800 on it. Absolutely love it, and for my purposes, it works great. I hardly ever sit down to work anymore, and I love that it's a huge desk (around 4.5 x 2.5 feet) so it fits a lot of stuff.
The last expensive purchase that I think is worth the money is Uber Black 😅. I really like being driven in nice cars once in a while

  13. One thing to keep in mind is that proper care and upkeep is essential. This is especially true of shoes, for instance. Since I retired I don't need nearly as many clothes, and so I'm especially focused on quality.

  14. In todays age, if anyone buys allan edmonds, they are complete idiot. One of the worst shoes for price, quality, build. Beckett simonon, bridlen are way better for half of the price. tlb mallorca main line for 320 euros are way better, let alone their artista line for 370 euros.

  15. Two things as a relative newcomer to your channel:

    1. I'd love you to go through your desktop setup – you briefly showed it here but I'm curious about the organization/placement of your desk and office setup.
    2. Completely unrelated but you have a great voice for ASMR like they have on meditation apps.
