There’s a lot of these items I need to get
I’ve read 1000s of books but I’ve never reread one. Strictly library or digital there’s no need to own a book
Great list and advice. Love the channel
Will be 31 by 14th Feb I feel like I'm behind i should have watched this video two years ago already…. Thanks ❤
Love the videos. What do you think about wearing a suit with dress sneakers?
Insurance, investments, eye sun protection, substantial savings. The latter part of the list was the most important.
44 US Navy War Veteran, facts bro, had all of those items in my early 30's. You left out having a true hobby to keep your mind clear.
Men in a poor watch is pretty sad IMO.
Apple watches are the worse lol.
I'm sure you know about matching watch straps to belt/shoe colour, and never wearing a watch with a Tuxedo.
Americans are so funny with the passport thing lol.
I know most of you never leave the states, but never considered you don't have a passport.
It's like not having a driving licence in the UK.
Great content. That timepiece/ (Rolex) is a privilege, but certainly a rewarding accessory.
I’m 44 and have nothing. Very disappointed and feel like my life is over
You don`t need any of these 5 things in order live your life, and no cell phone is needed either.🍵
Lol "probably" a homeowner.
I'm 38. Things I'm missing. A watch. Insurance policy. I'm only missing 2 things. I think I'm doing pretty good
Never been a big watch person so personally for me this isn’t a hit 40 milestone but the Passport I have and books probably too many 😁
Kids have passports in Europe.
The top three things you should own by 40 are a Roth account, a home, and stock/mutual funds/ETFs—and college funds if you have kids. If you invested $1,000 in Costco 10 years ago, it would be worth $36,000 in 2024. Material stuff is secondary. The worst advice was the bar; as you age, you should be cutting back on alcohol consumption and wine, too. Do not get drawn into buying whiskey, and cigars.
Approaching 40 in 2 months. And this channel is dope!!!!! Taking notes
Forget the wrist watch. Get a pocket watch.
A book collection makes you a poser. Once you've read a book that you bought, what do you do with it? Put it on the shelf on your bookcase to impress your friends with your intellect.?
The only books I buy are reference books, like a dictionary, books I'll use over and over and over. All other books I check out at the library for free. I don't need a home "library" to impress others with all the books I've read. Okay, if you still need to impress your friends, then just make a list of all the books you've read and thumb tack it on the small bookcase you have with your dictionary, thesaurus, etc. Actually, just having the books doesn't mean you read them anyway.
Make sure you count your own 💰 you never know what the online thieves are up too! Check your financial statements daily.
I'll be real with you. Im not getting a passport. I am a trucker and I travel for a living and i dont want to travel in my free time. I with yoh on everything else
Home bar essentials! Really?
A collection of books that you need to have actually read. Please don’t neglect that part. It’s important.
32 years old and still going strong. I heard these tips before from someone else and it's always great to watch this video for a great reminder. Thank you and I have subbed
You do not need any materialistic crap like a £8k watch! lack of a passport must be an American thing as most people in the UK have one, along with tools, usually passed on by your Father. decent shoes and a nice suit, yes go along with that one. Good mattress yes. savings and most of all happiness
Definitely for single insecure men.
I got my passport at age 27, started traveling, and eventually left America at 33. I was at the brink of debt at 27 (due to credit availability that I could have used to invest), but decided for my freedom. And I’ve been gone ever since. Now I’m traveling the world as an entertainer living in Europe, and investing for myself and my daughter. I would urge any man, especially a Brother, to get your passport and see the world. Because there’s a lot of love out here that you might not get in the states. Keep the great videos coming and all the best from an L.A. Brother (and new subscriber!) living in Europe. 👍🏾💪🏾💰
Great, informative video as always.
I feel like the passport thing is specifically for Americans as for the rest of us it’s weird to not have a passport even since we were kids like 90% of the rest of the world owns them.
I would like to add getting an estate plan drafted by an attorney , a record player with a nice set of records and a fitness routine.
I wasnt really in the mood for another by 40 list, but this video was good. Great suggestions.
Good list.
Just turned 40 in April
They won't let you own a passport if you owe back child support fellas
