  1. it's weird seeing Fassbender's character's southern accent still slipping out with some words. the vocal training coach did a terrific job with these actors

  2. I had absolutely no idea this dude was English. Wow. He's been in so many good movies but I think Four Brothers was his stand out. I'm saying that as someone who likes 12 years more than Four brothers. The range on this dude is incredible.

  3. I would rather be a slave during the 1800, then back in ancient times like within the Roman Empire. The cruelty they experienced overshadowed any other recent slavery like in the late 1800's

  4. This film could have justifiably been two hours of bleakness and the ugliness of human nature โ€“ however it is a testament to the actors that it is so much more than this. In parts it is bleak and ugly โ€“ which is unavoidable due to the subject matter โ€“ but it is also a story of the beauty and strength of the human spirit.

  5. Chiwetel Ejiofor did an amazing job. His acting as Solomon was indescribable and captured a great deal of slavery alone. He deserved much more than an Oscar tbqh. His accent was too believable, I love it.

  6. DID I miss something here? Color purple was not a movie about slavery you idiot. Only an american would ask a dumb question about the directorial differences between slave films done by whites and blacks.

  7. wtf is wrong with Americans. this dumb ass interviewer, thinks slavery was an American thing. it was nice to see the actor educate himโ€ฆ and how should he know how slavery was taught in the US, he's British.

  8. I love this interviewer. Better then what most interviewers ask " what did you like about your character". " what's the film about". Theses actors answer the same questions all day long and I bet it was refreshing to have him interview them.
As an actor, the answers they give are so interesting! Love jake Hamilton. Great to see an interviewer who is actually INTERESTED in film. If that means he is geeky so be it.

  9. Lol. Liberal bullshit at its finest. The Northern U.S.A was so heavily segregated, that the average black man would have ben hung for just entering a white building. Just trying to make the south look bad. Yall know the north had slaves 3 years after the south?

  10. I saw this movie over the weekend and this is the most emotional movie I've seen and those who feel sadness throughout the movie I was more or less sad but more angry. I did however shed a tear at the end of the movie and it really hit home.
