Not entirely true. The system of racism /white supremacy quite often extends bias primarily towards white individuals, whereby even black questionnaires will suspect the black suspect but give the white suspect the benefit of the doubt. White privilege.
I did my driving test many years ago and the instructor was excited that we had the same birthday and month (different year). At the time I felt like it influenced him to be more friendly and I passed without a hitch. Now I know why. 😄

I believe this to a point but only to a point. I believe that's where our higher level of consciousness and thought/reasoning comes onto play. It's ithe ability to decipher body language, and the information set forth in front of us that will take us in one direction or the other.
I would want yo see how that study was set up. Was is legit or set up with biases in it's own right.
