India is the 5th largest economy in the world and it will be 3rd largest economy in next 3-4 years.
India is the fastest growing economy in the world at 7-8 %. Even in the challenging situation like Covid, the Russia-Ukraine & Israil- Palestine conflict, we are still growing at faster rate and also controlled inflation. There are lot of repercussions of covid and these conflicts to world economy as fuel, energy, and food prices are gone up. Supply chain has been disturbed due to red Sea issue. As per latest reports, Inflation rate in India is around 5 % which is OK. (US 3.5 %, Russia 7.5 %, JAPAN 3 %, Pakistan 21 %). Even IMF and world bank is praising India’s growth.
But, still some people are blaming BJP government.
Let me share some good work done by the government. Several initiatives, programs, and policies across various sectors are as below,
1) Digital India : Today, India does highest number of digital transactions in the world. Digital concept was not even exist in Congress era.
2) Make in India
Lots of new companies came in India under this scheme like Foxconn / Apple, Samsung, Motorola, Boeing, VINFAST for EV Mfg, Ola & MG Motor EV Mfg, AIRBUS, Micron the American semiconductor chip manufacturer, General Electric & Alstom for locomotive engine, Volvo Ford, Tesla is all set come and many other defense companies has started their operations in India under make in INDIA scheme. I have mentioned only few manufacturing companies names in above list excluding pharma, IT, Textiles, Food & beverages companies.
3) Startup India :
There are total 113 unicorns with a combined valuation of more than 350 Billion dollars. The government is providing loan for the startup’s under MUDRA Yojana.
4) Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-reliant India): Some of the key steps as below,
A) Promotion of Domestic Manufacturing like Make in India & Start up India policy.
B) Attracting Foreign Investment, Boosting MSMEs, Infrastructure Development (Road, Rail & Airport connectivity, Dedicated freight corridor’s)
C) Research and Innovation
D) Skill Development to reducing dependency on foreign expertise.
E) Energy Independence: Promoting renewable energy sources and reducing dependency on oil. Built world largest solar park in Gujrat. Rooftop solar initiative for 1 crore houses. NSM Scheme.
F) Self-reliance in Healthcare & Pharmacy: 15 new AIIMS hospital are newly built/modified recently.
G) Reducing defense equipment import dependency from Russia, US and France and promoting indigenous defense manufacturing : Govt introduced strategic partnerships policy to promote the involvement of private sector companies in defense manufacturing. Private companies are selected as strategic partners for manufacturing major defense platforms in partnership with foreign original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). This aims to boost domestic manufacturing capabilities and reduce reliance on imports.
H) Production-linked Incentive (PLI) scheme.
a) Semiconductor : Tata group and Taiwan's Power chip company is constructing 3 manufacturing facilities in INDIA. One in Gujrat (Dholera City) second is also in Gujrat (Sanand City) and third in ASSAM (Morigaon). The government has aim to make India as semiconductor hub by 2030.
b) Laptops & Tablets : 40 companies applied under PLI scheme for IT hardware in India. Out of 40, surely some companies will erect their manufacturing plant in India. This will reduce China dependency in future as currently, we are importing 75 % IT hardware mostly laptops, tablets from China.
5) Infrastructure development to attract foreign investment in India
A) Highways : It has improved significantly in last few years. The pace of national highways construction has increased from about 12 km per day in 2014-15 to about 30 km per day in 2022-23. Road network has not only improved in sates but also in border areas in the country through roads, bridges and tunnels. And, border road connectivity was very much important for forces movement to counter China aggression.
B) Airport and Aviation sector : India's aviation industry has experienced significant growth in the past 10 years. The number of operational airports in the country has doubled from 74 in 2014 to 155+ in 2023. And many more are under construction and will be operational in next few years. Tata owned Air India ordered 470 planes and Indigo ordered 500p planes, Akasa ordered 150 planes to Boeing and Air Bus. Total 1100+ planes has been ordered.
C) Railway : There is significant improvement in railway network like electrification done for almost 70 % railway track, modernization of railways stations, there are total 570+ railways stations are being modernized. Expansion of railway network specially in J&K. Safety measures like KAVACH system is being implemented to avoid accident.
High speed rail projects like Vande BHARAT, Namo Bharat, and Amrit Bharat trains started. Train quantity will surely increase in future.
Bullet train project (Mumbai – Ahmadabad) has completed almost 70-80 % of his work and it will commence within few years. Government is looking for 6 new Bullets trains plans.
Metro Expansion : In 2014, the total Metro network in the country was 248 km. Now, the total Metro network in the country is 775 km. And another 1000 km of metro network is under construction. And, all these train and metros are being manufactured in India. Even semi bullet train will also be manufactured in India with help of Japanese company.
6) PM Awas Yojana : Under this scheme over 3 crore house are built and distributed to poor people.
7) Ayushman Bharat Insurance card up to 5 lac : Over 30 crore card has been distributed.
8) Gas connection scheme : Over 31 crores gas connections has been provided in last 10 years.
9) Food / Reshan : About 80 crores peoples are getting free 5 Kg wheat or rice in every month.
10) Total 415 million (41.5 crore) people moved out of poverty in India in last 15 years said by united nations. So, this is credible data.
These are just a few examples of the initiatives taken by the BJP government in India. There are many other programs and policies like smart city, clean India, Mudra loan for startup, Make Inida tourist hub.
India's global stature is increased hence most of NRI's admiring MODI. Many foreign countries has given their highest civilian award to Modi. Passport value improved.
BJP took many bold decisions – Article 370, Tripple talak, Demonization, Construction of RAM Mandir, Mahakal, Kashi corridor, Opened Kartarpur corridor (Congress govt was saying God RAM is imaginary & not letting supreme court to give verdict)
Kashmir Issue : Congress govt gave POK to Pakistan and Aksai Chin to China but BJP govt took full control on Indian Kashmir by removing article 370 & 35A. Now, there is better situation in Kashmir than earlier. Investment are coming, UAE is investing 60 million in J&K. And, we will never ever forget Kashmiri pandit exodus happened during congress rule.
UNSC permanent seat issue : Congress leader Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru rejected permanent seat in security council and favored China over India. Now, Our external affairs minister Dr Jaishankar has strongly taken up the issue with UN and with other countries that India should get UNSC seat .
India China growth Comparison : In the 1950s, China and India both started from similar economic positions, poverty, and agrarian economies. But, their paths changed significantly in terms of economic development over the subsequent decades. China's good policy, focused on infrastructure development, attraction of foreign investment, and economic reforms contributed to its remarkable economic growth. Now, there is big difference between China's economy (18 trillion Doller) and India’s economy (3.7 trillion Doller).
If congress had also applied same policy in 1960s or 1970s then today India’s economy would have been like China. Now, this government is doing the same thing what China did in past.
No major corruption case reported in BJP tenure like Coal scam (1.8 lac crores), 2G Scam (1.76 lac crores), Commonwealth scam (70 thousand crores), Fodder Scam (Chara Ghotala) (950 crores), Laptop Scam in UP (12 crores), Adharsh Housing Society Scam (8000 crores).
We cannot say that Modi is a perfect PM for the country as no one is perfect in this world. but, he is certainly far better than other political leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Kejriwal or Mamta Banerjee. He is honest Man with no family behind. He works 14-16 hours a day and not like Rahul Gandi who stay 8 months in India and stay 4 months in ITALY. It is perhaps for the first time in India that no credible charge of any corruption has been made against Modi. Even his critics agree that he is honest and he has effective control over his cabinet. The opposition I.N.D.I.A alliance were criticizing each other in past but now they united just to beat Modi and get into the power.
