KILIMANJARO CLIMBINGI MARANGU ROUTE Start and end in Arusha! Marangu route trekking (hiking, climb) adventure tour – Mt Kilimanjaro Climbing Marangu Route, you have 8 day trip package taking you through Kilimanjaro National Park. Marangu Route it`s affectionately known as the “Coca-Cola Route”, Marangu is by far the most popular and classic route to the summit of Kilimanjaro. It is the oldest, most well-established route favoured by the majority because it is considered to be the easiest path on the mountain, due to its gradual slope. It is the only route that offers you the relative luxury of being able to sleep in huts along the entire route. READ MORE- https://www.shikatou...g-marangu-route/

KILIMANJARO PEAK- RONGAI ROUTE Start and end in Arusha! Rongai route climb adventure tour – Mt Kilimanjaro Trekking Rongai Route, you have a 9 day trip package taking you through Kilimanjaro National Park. The Rongai route is the only route that approaches Kilimanjaro from the north, close to the Kenyan border. Though gaining popularity amongst climbers, this route still experiences low crowds. Rongai has a more gradual slope than the mountain’s other routes. It is the preferred route for those looking for an alternative to the popular Marangu route, for those who would like a more remote hike, and for those who are climbing during the rainy season (the north side receives less precipitation). Rongai is a moderately difficult route, and is highly recommended, especially for those with less backpacking experience. READ MORE- https://www.shikatou...ng-rongai-route/

Shira route climb adventure tour – Mt Kilimanjaro Trekking Shira Route, you have a 8 day trip package taking you through Kilimanjaro National Park. The Shira Route is a little used trail that begins near Shira Ridge. It is nearly identical to the Lemosho route. In fact, Shira was the original route and Lemosho is the improved variation. Although Shira is a varied and beautiful route, it is less favorable than its successor due to the relatively high altitude of Shira’s starting point, which is accessed quickly by vehicle. It is possible that climbers will experience some altitude related symptoms on the first day while camping at 11,800 feet. READ MORE- https://www.shikatou...ing-shira-route/

Justin, I took the South American segment of the World Cruise aboard the QE2; Before embarking at Callao, visited Lima, then hopped a flight to Cusco. From there took the train through the Andes to Macchu Picchu to tour the ancient Inca ruins. The train stopped briefly at the equator... I can now say I pi**ed on both sides of the World at once! But I'm just saying, this was a magnificent trip! (Wherever you travel now, be cognizant of the political upheavals... there are certainly countries to be avoided) !

Visit South Africa I was just there with my daughter and we went from Jo'Burg thru the Karoo and spent 10 days in Plettenberg Bay. The Karoo is a one of a kind place and even though it was mostly flat it was ever changing. The Coast was beautiful with a gruelling hike of the Robberg Peninsula and playing in the surf at the many beaches we went to, and petting Elephants at Knysna Reserve. Five years ago I was there with my husband and we spent time in Cape Town...or rather Camp's Bay and thoroughly enjoyed it there. From Table mountain to Penguins, to Robben Island and the V & A waterfront. Of course we will be back again....after all we go there to visit Family!!

It's South Africa! I've been 7 times - bungeed the two highest bridges in the world there! Been on safari 4 times and seen the Big Five every time, rode an elephant and an ostrich, shopped all over, met the most wonderful people and have some of my dearest friends there. Traveled all over South Africa. If you get a chance to go...GO!!!

The best way to see S.Africa is by car, me and a buddy drove from Joburg to Kruger crossed Crocodile Bridge when it was flooded out went into Swaziland onto Eshowe to go to Shakaland, drove to Durban onto Port Elizabeth onto Knysna onto Cape Town then back to Joburg. We spent on average 2 to 3 days in each city but 4 in Cape Town and Joburg. I must say that that it was a very beautiful country, going through the Drakenburg Mountains was beautiful the Kwazulu Natal region was absolute Heaven since that's what the word Zulu means.  The food was the best and didn't have a bad meal while there, which many people can attest to, the people were very friendly and very helpful from directions to advice and just a friendly smile. I could go on and on about such a wonderful road trip and trip to my favorite travel destination, but the best part was the cost, $491 rt from JFK on Iberia Airlines and able to spend a day in Madrid. I have been back since and went to Addo Elephant Park and the Cape Town Jazz Festival.

Did you know that Sudan has more pyramids than Egypt? The Nubian civilisation is believed to have begun in 6000BC and reached its peak between 3000BC and 2000BC. However, since they did not develop a written from of their language, most of their history was in the hands of the Ancient Egyptians and the Romans - rival civilisations who were unlikely to be objective in their portrayal. As a result, very little is known about the Nubians. However, recent evidence suggests that there were some Nubian Pharos and that their historical influence was more significant than previously thought.
